Lancia Ypsilon HF: 280 hp Headhatch from € 41,000

Italian cousin of the Peugeot e-208 GTi

Lancia Ypsilon HF

The HF label is back. Lancia is putting it on the absolute top version of the Ypsilon. This is the 280 hp electric Lancia Ypsilon HF. The price of the brand new Ypsilon HF is also known.

We have written about the Lancia Ypsilon HF several times, but now it’s really here. In addition, it has immediately been placed on the Dutch price list. What you pay for it: €40,950. What you get for that: a 280 hp sporty electric hot hatch.

The Italian cousin of the equally new Peugeot e-208 GTi, like its French sister model, has a 280 hp electric motor that drives the front wheels. With that, it thunders from standstill to a speed of 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. Its top speed: 180 km/h. Like the milder electric Ypsilon, the Lancia Ypsilon HF also has a 54 kWh battery in its bottom. The sporty EV squeezes a range of 370 kilometers from it. In terms of range, the Ypsilon HF must therefore tolerate the non-sporty versions in front of it. They reach up to 426 kilometers. The larger (18-inch) alloy wheels undoubtedly play a role here.

Lancia Ypsilon HF

Lancia Ypsilon HF: nice and thick from all angles.

The Lancia Ypsilon HF has a Torsen limited-slip differential, considerably adjusted bumper work all around, an extensive set of HF badges and has extended wheel arches. The latter is more than just for show, as the wheels are actually 3 centimeters further apart. The top Ypsilon is 2 centimeters closer to the asphalt and also has extra powerful brakes. Lancia promises, among other things, that the complete car is stiffer than the original. Of course, an extensively designed interior, complete with sports steering wheel, special upholstery and aluminum pedals, is also part of the HF festa.

The most extensively equipped variant of the regular electric Lancia Ypsilon costs at least €36,700 and produces 156 hp. In the also generously equipped Ypsilon HF you get 124 hp extra for an additional price of €4,250.

HF Line

Do you want a sportier designed Ypsilon, but don’t need the 280 hp powertrain? No problem. Lancia is introducing an HF Line version that brings a handful of elements to the Ypsilon that make it look sportier. Important note: the HF Line is only available for the mild-hybrid Ypsilon and is therefore not available for the electric variant with 156 hp.

The HF Line (photo 16) stands on 17-inch black wheels and gets the front bumper that you also find on the real Ypsilon HF. You do not get the extended wheel arches, the HF rear bumper and the 18-inch HF wheels. Lancia also brings seats with orange stitching and a historically responsible racing motif to the Ypsilon HF Line, as well as an extensive set of HF logos. A steering wheel covered with perforated leather, blue dashboard trim and HF elements in the interface of the infotainment system are also part of the HF Line party.

The mild-hybrid Lancia Ypsilon HF Line is available from €33,800 and is therefore just as expensive as the LX version positioned below it.
