EV Sales Growth Slows Down
The sale of used cars in the Netherlands increased by more than 4 percent to almost 1.1 million units in the first half of this year.
This is reported by industry organizations Bovag and RDC. In June, occasion sales weakened to a growth of 2 percent. By far the largest part of the occasion sales concerned gasoline cars, with almost 796,000 units. This is followed by hybrids (164,057), diesels (62,053), electric cars (45,726) and LPG cars (10,317).
It is striking that the sale of used electric cars grew a lot less in the past six months, with 14.1 percent. In the same period last year, the number increased by almost 51 percent to more than 40,000 cars.
The Bovag and RDC further report that the import of used cars has decreased slightly and exports have increased. Especially the export of electric cars grew very fast.
