It is small, electric, and it comes from Japan: it’s the Honda N-One e. That small kei-car-like EV has already been in Europe, and that undoubtedly means something.
Honda brought a special EV to the Goodwood Festival of Speed: the ‘Super EV Concept’. Now we can take a more concrete look at it. At least, Honda is showing a car that looks very much like it, partly uncamouflaged, and already reveals its name. We welcome the Honda N-One e. We already thought the Super EV Concept looked a bit like the N-One, and now it turns out that it at least partly shares its name with that kei-car.
It remains to be seen whether the Honda N-One e shares anything at all with the regular N-One, despite its name. It could be that it is simply the successor to the second generation of that 3.4-meter-long little car, introduced in 2020, and that the N-One will soon be entirely electric. Incidentally, we suspect that the version intended for us is a bit wider than the car we see here. The Super EV Concept had somewhat wider wheel arches.
In any case, Honda says that it will announce more about the N-One e at the end of this month. Now we have to wait and see if that also applies to Europe. The fact that the harbinger of this car has already been in Europe almost certainly means that it is (perhaps just a little different) also intended for us. We are waiting with anticipation.
