Plug-in hybrid follows
Even before Citroën can publicize it, AutoWeek can already report the prices of the new Citroën C5 Aircross. The new C5 Aircross, regardless of the chosen powertrain, is thousands of euros cheaper than its technical siblings from Opel and Peugeot.
Like the Volkswagen Group, Stellantis is a master at platform sharing. The STLA Medium platform already serves as the basis for a significant number of models, most of which are SUV-like. The still very young Peugeot 3008 and 5008, Opel Grandland, and the brand-new Jeep Compass are all technical sister models of each other. The new Citroën C5 Aircross also belongs in that list. It was presented in April this year, and AutoWeek can now report the prices of this brand-new Citroën C5 Aircross. It turns out that the C5 Aircross, regardless of the chosen powertrain, is currently thousands of euros cheaper than the Opel Grandland and Peugeot 3008 and 5008. Here we go.
The starting price of the new Citroën C5 Aircross is below 40,000 euros. The C5 Aircross with a 145 hp mild-hybrid petrol engine and automatic transmission costs €37,990 as a You-version. The Citroën C5 Aircross with this powertrain is also available as Plus, Business, and Max. The latter is the most expensive variant and costs €43,990. For comparison: the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 with this powertrain cost a minimum of €43,870 and €47,870 respectively as Allure entry-level models. The Opel Grandland with this powertrain is available – as Business Edition – from €40,999. Note that the equipment of the models differs.
Prices electric Citroën ë-C5 Aircross
Prefer an electric Citroën C5 Aircross that is then called ë-C5 Aircross? No problem. The starting price of the electric ë-C5 Aircross also remains below 40,000 euros, as it starts from €39,490. For that money, you get a 75 kWh battery, a 210 hp electric motor, and a range of 520 kilometers. The starting price applies to the You-version. The Citroën with electric powertrain, just like the variant with mild-hybrid engines, is also available as Plus, Business, and Max.
For comparison: the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 with the same electric powertrain cost at least €45,015 and €48,015 respectively. The Opel Grandland Electric with the same hardware costs a minimum of €43,999.
Citroën C5 Aircross Price List
The new Citroën C5 Aircross, like its Stellantis cousins, will of course also come to the Netherlands with a 195 hp plug-in hybrid powertrain with an electric range of 86 kilometers. Prices for that will follow in September this year. The prices of the Citroën ë-C5 Aircross with 230 hp, larger 97 kWh battery and a range of 681 kilometers are not yet available at the time of writing.
