The third generation Carens dates from the period that Kia was over in our country the embryonic phase, but not as mature as today. At the time, it was therefore a non-to-the-hand car with not much refinement for a fairly mild price tag. We are now 17 years later, a period in which three owners have traveled a well-arranged 110,000 kilometers with the 99-ZD-RG. Here too no mention of warranty, but we think that is a smaller problem than with the Spaniard. The Carens is a five -seater as standard, but here two extra seats have been placed in the back for not too large people. Luggage space is barely left, but luckily the seats can be neatly sinking in the car floor. The rear seat is not slidable and despite the fact that there are sufficient storage options on board, it makes it a little less versatile. The furniture is quite soft – a fact that applies to the entire concept. Suspension and damping are that too, so that he hells a bit in turns and dives when braking. What the C-Max then has corresponds to the Altea is the dynamic steering and handling.
