Thanks to Alfa Romeo Junior, the Alfa sales have tripled

Three Times Little Makes Something More

Alfa Romeo Junior

Alfa Romeo Doesn’t Know What’s happening to it. In the first eight months of this year, the brand registered three times as many cars in the Netherlands as in the same period last year. You can feel it coming: Three Times Little Still Doesn’t Make Much.

Alfa Romeo Has Known Better Times. Also in the Netherlands. 2018 was The Last Year in which Alfa Romeo Registered More than 1,000 cars in the Netherlands. In 2019, Registrations Fell to 724 Units, The Year After They Plummeted to Just 173 Units. Last year, Alfa Romeo in the Netherlands Did not Exceed 374 Registered Cars. With a model range that – with the exception of the tonale – consists Mainly of Old, Non -Electrified and Relatively Exensive Models Due to High Co2 Emissions, This is or Course No Surprise. This year, alfa romeo Doesn’tn’tn’t Know what to look for in a positive sense. That’s all thanks to one model: the junior.

In August, 74 New Alfa Romeos Were Registered in The Netherlands. That’s not much, but it was Almost Five Times as many as in August Last Year. Looking at the first eight months of this year, we see that registrations have tripled. From 218 units in the same period last year to 662 units in the first eight months of this year. Of Those 662 New Alfas, 523 Units Were an Alfa Romeo Junior. The Giulia Accounted for 10 Registrations. Not a single Stelvio Has Been Registered this year. 129 Units of the Alfa Romeo Tonale Were Registered in the First Eight Months of This Year. That was – unfortunately for alfa – almost 34 percent less than in the same period last year (195 units).

A tripling of the number of registered New Cars is of Course Nice, but in absolute Terms 662 Cars is not much for a car brand. For Comparon: Polestar Registered 1.605 Cars in the Same Period, Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW Respectively 9.559, 9,288 and 14.955 Units. Alfa’s Groupmats Opel and Peugeot Respectively Reached 6,679 and 9,963 registrations. Still, it is a sign of the times that new models are doing well for the brand. Alfa Romeo Can Therefore Hope That The Already Announced New Giulia and Stelvio Can Further Increase The Numbers.
