In the Wild Special: The parking lot of Wheels Mariënwaerdt

Definitely WORTH A Look

Mariënwaerdt Wheels Parking Lot in the Wild

Wheels Mariënwaerdt is Increasingly Emerging as the Ultimate Car Party in the Netherlands, and that’s not limited to the event itelf. The Parking Lot is Almost As Fun, at Least For Those Who Pay More Attention to the Cars Than To The Mud.

We Are Still Enjoying Wheels Mariënwaerdt, Where Many Dutch Car Enthusiasts Came Together for a Combination of Special Classics, A Wonderful Atmosphere And – Admittedly – Mud. The Organization Can’t Do Much About the Latter, Because Tassland Simply Becomes Muddy When It is Plagued by Countless Car Tires and Rain Showers. Just like at Similar Events Abroad, the cars in the ‘Parking Meadow’ Are Absolutely Worth a Look. What Unites Car Enthusiasts From All Over The Netherlands and Beyond Can Count On A More Varied Mix Than What You Find On A Tuesday Afternoon In The Parking Lot Of Your Local Accounting Firm.

The Wheels Organization Knows This, of Course, So An ‘Old-Timer Parking’ was Set Up Right Next to the Entrance. Visitors who came with Something Very Special Were Allowed to Park That Car There. The Selection was Perhaps Sometimes Fodder For Discussion, but It is Certain that there was more than Enough to see just outside that old-timer parking area. With this story you will find a selection of the cars that we encountered there last weekend. We or course readily admit that does not give a complete picture, so don’t be offended if your hyper-rare toy is not included.

It is nice to see that such a competition d’élégance attracts a certain audience. For Example, We Found Remarkly Little Carbon and Black Wheels at Beesd, But Rather More Classic-looking, Stylish and, On The Whole, Less Sporty Enthusiastes Cars. That is used for young and old, because the newest range rovers and rolls-royces looked stylish this weekend. There was also a nice varied mix of ‘accepted’ Enthusiast cars and real automotive rarities. The Cars in the Photos Have One Thing in Common: they were at Wheels, But Not On The Event Grounds Themselves. Of course, a report of that will also follow, in the next edition of AutoWeek Classics.
