Just like the Kia EV6 and EV9, the considerably smaller but much more popular Kia EV3 also gets a sporty GT version. Extra power for the compact electric Kia. That power is first tested on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The Kia EV3 cannot be dragged in the Netherlands. Over the first eight months of this year, it was by far the most popular new car in the Netherlands. More than 7,500 copies were already on license plate. For the time being, the EV3 is always 204 hp strong and has a 58.3 kWh or 81.4 kWh battery. That does not appear to be sufficient for everyone and of course Kia realizes that. There will be an undoubtedly very potent GT version to meet the demand for more.
A new set of spy photos can be seen in action on the Nordschleife on the Kia EV3 GT on the Nordschleife. The camouflage material covers a lot. Amonging it is sportier -looking bumperwork. More interesting is of course how powerful the Kia EV3 GT becomes. We don’t know that yet. The Kia EV6 GT has two together up to 650 hp strong electric motors. That is of course much too much for the EV3. The 508 hp that the EV9 GT brings out seems to us on the heavy side. For the time being we are focusing on a capacity of around 300 to 400 hp for the EV3. Significantly less than the EV6 GT, but the EV3 GT with 300 hp would be almost 50 percent more powerful than the current versions. Not surprising, right?
