Nice for a long time
The Citroën C3 and C3 Aircross are getting a sporty cousin. This Citroën Basalt Vision previews what we won’t get at all in the Netherlands.
The Citroën C3 and C3 Aircross that you can buy in the Netherlands are European market versions of similarly named models that are for sale in countries like Brazil and India. In those markets, the C3 and C3 Aircross (India: C3 With this Basalt Vision, the French are at least previewing a spruced-up variant.
The Citroën Basalt Vision is painted Amber Yellow and features accents in a red color that Citroën has named ‘André Red’. More striking are the 18-inch alloy wheels, the accentuated bumper work including diffuser at the rear, the rear spoiler at the top of the rear window and the remarkable ‘wings’ in the C-pillars. Citroën doesn’t say how powerful the show car is. You don’t have to expect it in the Netherlands either. The Basalt is not available here, so the possibly appearing sporty version of it also remains a forbidden fruit.
