It is now clear that the production version, which we have spotted camouflaged before, will be called Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé. Yes, it seems that the similarly named powerhouse currently in the showroom will soon hand over the baton entirely to this EV.
Not only is the name now official, but we also get to see the car a little better. Despite the stickers, it is clear that Mercedes-AMG remains quite faithful to the study model. That applies at least to the lines, it remains to be seen how much of the intense technology from the concept car directly reaches the production stage. With its three electric motors together producing 1,360 hp and a maximum charging capacity of no less than 850 kW, the concept car was a superlative. In any case, Mercedes-AMG promises that the powertrain of the production version is ‘based on the same technology’.
