Launch Age: First Prices Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008 Dual Motor

The Most Exensive Versions So Far

Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008 Dual Motor

‘Dual Motor.’ We’ve known the term for years from Tesla, but now Peugeot is also coming out with electric cars with two electric motors. The e-3008 and e-5008 Dual Motor now have a Dutch price tag, albeit only for the fully loaded Launch Edition. A substantial Launch, so to speak.

The Peugeots e-3008 and e-5008, which are technically and visually largely identical, have a 112 hp electric motor on the rear axle as a Dual Motor. This works together with the 213 hp version that also provides the drive on the much cheaper Electric 210 version, delivering a total power of 325 hp. Solid, and good for an acceleration from 0 to 100 in 6 seconds for the e-3008 and still 6.5 seconds for the larger, heavier, and more spacious e-5008.

The complete price list for the previously announced four-wheel drive vehicles is not yet available, but Peugeot is announcing what the cars should cost as fully loaded Launch Editions. The fully loaded launch versions have all the equipment of the expensive GT version as standard, plus 20-inch light-alloy wheels, Alcantara upholstery, electrically adjustable AGR front seats, a 360-degree camera, and a panoramic sunroof. All that beauty together costs €56,515 in the case of the e-3008 and €59,515 for the e-5008.

With these prices, these are also immediately the most expensive versions of the 3008 and 5008 that you can buy, but then you get a lot of power and a lot of luxury. But not the largest range, because the 97-kWh Long Range battery passes the Dual Motors by. Instead, these models get the 73-kWh battery of the regular e-3008 and e-5008. In combination with the extra electric motor, this provides a range of 490 kilometers for the e-3008 Dual Motor, and 467 for the e-5008 Dual Motor.
