An electric seven-seater generally has little to look for on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, but Skoda doesn’t care about that.
The – quite literally – biggest news at Skoda next year is a completely new electric seven-seater. This high-entry EV will be the production follow-up to the Skoda Vision 7S, which the Czechs presented almost three years ago. Roughly a month and a half ago, we saw that new SUV with a large trailer behind it; now, the car is being subjected to a very different kind of test.
Our spy photographer encountered the larger brother of the Enyaq on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. It looks somewhat awkward, such a sturdy guy in the Karussell. Because big, that is Skoda’s upcoming flagship for sure. The study model was 5.02 meters long, which is 37 cm longer than the Enyaq. The difference will not be missed. What name Skoda will put on it is still difficult to say. The names of the now largest SUVs end in ‘aq’; for the newcomer, Skoda logically pulls a completely new name from its hat.
Sometime in the new year, the roomiest Skoda will come onto the market, and it will encounter cars such as the Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Kia EV9 as competition. Skoda will take on that fight with a maximum range of around 600 km. Furthermore, expect technology known from the Enyaq in terms of propulsion.
