Polestar will try again in France after bizarre arguments with Citroën

New attempt

Polestar France

Polestar has finally reopened its order books in France. This is remarkable, as it was previously forced out of the country by Citroën.

Do you also think the Polestar logo looks like Citroën’s double chevron? No? Neither do we. However, Citroën really thought differently about it almost five years ago. Citroën went to court alleging trademark infringement, although the court rejected that claim. However, Polestar had to pay Citroën €150,000 in damages and was not allowed to sell cars there for six months. In the eyes of the judge, Polestar would be ‘piggybacking on the familiarity of Citroën’. Polestar’s market introduction in France has not taken place to date.

Until now, indeed. Polestar proudly announces that it is now spreading its wings again to the important European car market. It has opened the order books for the Polestar 2, 3 and 4 there.
