Hybrid at the head
Fully electric cars also made a large part of the number of newly registered passenger cars in the Netherlands last month. Hybrid cars are still proud of the lead, but cars with just a petrol engine bag away.
Last month 28,986 new cars were registered in the Netherlands, 8,929 of which had a fully electric powertrain. For comparison: cars with just a gasoline engine were still good for 4,501 pieces, just a little more than half. Seen over the year, fully electric cars are even good for more than double the number of petrol cars. Last year, the market for fully electric cars in the same period was only one third greater.
That does not mean that fuel cars in their entirety are losing out, because cars with a hybrid powertrain were good for 15,019 pieces. This also includes mild hybrid cars, which in practice mainly ride on fuel. Diesel is on the market for new cars except for death in our country, it turns out again:

We also zoom in on the registered fully electric cars, because in that part of the market the car manufacturers are fighting hard for the leading position. Where Kia is a general market leader in the Netherlands, it is also among the fully electric cars. The Kia EV3 was the most popular EV last month and has been seen throughout the year so far. The Renault 5 is now also starting to get a bit on steam and enters the month-top 5, but it is not yet seen in the first seven months of the year. It is also striking that Audi suddenly managed to sell as many copies of the Q4 E-tron as Tesla of the Model Y and that the Volkswagen ID3, which is also somewhat aged, suddenly arrives the top 5 again.
Hybrid in the Lead
