Final A110s with gasoline engines

It’s almost over for the Alpine A110. At least, for the A110 as you’ve known it for over eight years. The French are announcing a final series of 1,750 Alpine A110s to be built.
A110 fans, take note. This is probably your very last chance to buy an Alpine A110 with a gasoline engine. The French sports car presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017, marking Alpine’s return in tangible form, is entering its final phase of life. We already knew that 2025 would be the last year the A110 would be built, but now Alpine is actually announcing the final series of 1,750 units.
A lot is changing at Alpine. In the form of the A290, it launched a sporty version of the electric Renault 5. That was Alpine’s first EV, but it certainly won’t be the last. The Alpine A390 – an electric four-seater – already exists, and even the A110 is heading toward an electric future. That will be introduced next year. We’ve also already seen the first signs of a stretched coupe that might be called the A310.
Until then, the Alpine A110 is still available as the simply named A110 variant, as the A110 GTS and as the A110 R 70. Only 50 units of the latter remain. Each one of them has a 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine.
