‘BYD sets sales goals down considerably’

Not so good after all

Byd Seal

Exploding Sales Figures, Solid Profits, and Almost A New Model Every Month: The Rise of the Chinese Byd Seems Unstoppable. Yet, things are not going so well for byd, which is reportedly significant adjusting its sales targets downward.

This year, Byd Wanted to Sell 5.5 Million Cars. That is very amitious and significantly more than the 4.3 Million cars Sold worldwide last year, although it should be said that byd is also launching new models and Tapping Into extra markets at a rapid pace. Althegh the ANP Report on the results of the first half of 2025 was Still QUITE POSITIVE, It was Already Clear that ‘Only’ 2.2 Million byds Were Sold in That Half. Achieving that goal of 5.5 Million Already Seemed Difficult, and that is now Being Underlined. Accordance to Reuters, byd has already internally adjusted its target for 2025 Several Times and the Sales Target for 2025 is now 4.6 Million Cars. That is 16 percent less than the original target, but still 7 percent more than in 2024. Actually, not so bad at all, but still a setback for byd after so many good prospects.

The Sales Decline is Largely Due to a Decrease in Compact Car Sales in its own country, which Sold Almost 10 percent less in July than last year and account for the bulk of byd sales in China. Accordance to insiders, BYD is mainly suffering from (also) Chinese competitors Such as yellowy and leap motor. GEYE Recently Adjusted Its Sales Targets Upwards, from 2.71 to 3 Million Vehicles for 2025.
