Cycling the highway on: Cixi Vigoz

Stairput

We have already experienced a lot in the car area, but a car in which you have to kick does not belong yet. Today that is changing, thanks to the French ‘staircase’ Cixi Vigoz. And yes, you can go on the highway with it.

Is this still a car? You can have a long and heated discussion about that, but the Vigoz is actually just as much car as a microlino or the ‘highway version’ of a Renault Twizy. He is even a bit faster than many of those ‘L7e’ four-wheelers, and must be able to reach a top speed of 120 km/h. The big difference with all other vehicles on the highway: you have to kick in the cixi! The Vigoz is a cruising between an electric (baking) bike, a scooter and a car and is primarily electrically powered, although the driver makes a contribution just like with an electric bicycle. The extent to which that happens is also adjustable here and that means that with maximum support you have to make little effort. In all cases, according to Cixi, there is sufficient support to get highway pace, although of course you have to make more effort there with lesser support.

In terms of layout and intent, the Vigoz is most similar to the Dutch carver. This too is a double tricycle that tilts the bend like a motorcycle, although the single wheel is behind it and the Vigoz has two front wheels. Steering goes on a recumbent bike, with a ‘handlebar’ that can be grabbed left and right of the driver’s seat. Behind the rear passenger some luggage can be taken in an open space and based on the for the time being usually digital pictures of the Vigoz there is also something on the roof.

The Cixi Vigoz is not yet completely finished, but will soon have to be built in Annecy, France. The vehicle supplements the ‘human power’ with the energy from a 22 kWh battery, which, according to the inventors, yields a range of around 160 kilometers. That is a bit disappointing in all honesty, because PHEVs and EVs with a similarly large battery come without trappers that far or even further. Cixi’s focus therefore seems to be more on the fact that you get some movement along the way than on actually saving energy. In that respect, it is better to just jump on the bike or walk to the station, but who knows, the Vigoz will soon be not too bad. Cixi wants to only offer the thing in a subscription form and states that this would be very affordable, although we do not yet know how affordable.

Pedal Car

Cixi Vigoz

We have already experienced a lot in the automotive field, but a car that you have to pedal was not one of them. Today that Changes, thanks to the French ‘Pedal Car’ Cixi Vigoz. And yes, you can take it on the highway.

Is this still a car? You can have a long and heated discussion about that, but the vigoz is actual as much a car as a microlino or the ‘highway version’ or a renault twizy. It is equally faster than many of those ‘l7e’ four-wheelers, and should be able to reach a top speed of 120 km/h. The Big Difference with All Other Vehicles On The Highway: In The Cixi You Have To Pedal! The Vigoz is a cross between an electric (cargo) bike, a scooter and a car and is primarily electrically powered, althegh the driver, like with an electric bicycle, contributions by pedaling. The extent to which this happens is also adjustable here, which mean that with maximum support you hardly have to make any effort. In All Cases, Accordance to Cixi, There Is Sufficient Support to Be Able To Reach Highway Speeds, AltheHOUGH WITH LESS Support You Naturally Have To Make More Effort.

In Terms of Layout and Design, The Vigoz is Most Similar to the Dutch Carver. This is also a two-person three-wheeler that tilts into the corner like a motorcycle, although the single wheel is at the rear and the vigoz therefore has two front wheels. Steering is Like on a recumbent bike, with a ‘handlebar’ that can be grabbed to the left and right of the driver’s seat. Behind the Rear Passenger, Some Luggage Can Be Taken Along in an Open Space and, Judging by the Mostly Digital Pictures of the Vigoz So far, there can also be some on the roof.
