Electric Mercedes-Benz GLC: New concept, new face

Mercedes-Benz GLC Teaser

This year, Mercedes-Benz will draw the canvas of a fully electric Mercedes-Benz GLC. This time that car does not share anything with the GLC that is available with combustion engines. That new concept also includes a brand new face.

BMW is coming this year with a completely new IX3. In contrast to the previous IX3, that will be a completely separate model on a completely own platform. It is therefore no longer an electric variant of the X3 with incineration engines. At Mercedes-Benz we see something similar. This will come in September with the successor to the Mercedes-Benz EQC. The EQC that is now no longer available shares his platform with the previous GLC for which it served as an electric alternative, but had a largely own carriage. The EQC will follow in September in an electric alternative to the current generation GLC. It will not be called EQC, but “GLC with EQ technology.” Mercedes-Benz now shows the snout of that newcomer.

The electric Mercedes -Benz GLC with EQ technology – it keeps getting used to – gets a front with a largely dense grille. In a sense, it seems like an ‘inside outdoor version’ of a traditional grille. It is almost completely closed. In the places where you see thick horizontal slats at a diverse fuel bends, the electric GLC gets cooling slots. In addition, the majority of the ‘grille’ is illuminated. Totally 2025, although it is not standard.

On September 7, the Mercedes-Benz GLC will experience its debut during the IAA van Munich with EQ technology. We also expect to bump into the new BMW IX3. The two can therefore immediately compete with each other.
