Companies with a large fleet can only purchase electric cars from 2030. At least, if it is up to the European Commission.

From 2035, the sale of new passenger cars with traditional combustion engines will be stopped. If it is up to the European Commission, car rental companies and companies with ‘a large fleet’ and per 2030 are no longer allowed to purchase cars with a combustion engine. The German newspaper Bild reports on this, which is based on sources within the political device.

The European Commission would consider introducing such a ban. That probably has major consequences for the market, since according to the German newspaper there are about 60 percent of the car market of Fleet Sales . For the time being, however, it would still be a proposal that is being worked on.
