Hyundai Venue: new relatively cheap crossover

Just under four meters long

Hyundai Venue

Hyundai has presented a brand new compact crossover. It’s called the Hyundai Venue, is relatively affordable, and comes with both gasoline and diesel engines!

The second generation Hyundai Venue, like the first generation, remains just under four meters in India. This means the new Venue is also taxed less fiscally. However, the new SUV is 3 centimeters wider and nearly five centimeters longer than the model it replaces. The wheelbase is also larger, now measuring 2.52 meters. With this, the distance between the front and rear axles of the new Hyundai Venue in India is just as large as that of the first generation model in the United States.

The new Hyundai Venue is not only larger but also much chunkier in appearance than its predecessor. We see a compact crossover with a fairly high, square rear end containing familiar multi-layer lighting. The rear lighting is relatively simple and consists of optically connected lighting with a wide LED strip and segmented sections. The model name is proudly written out between them. Other external frivolities come in the form of curves around the wheel arches and D-pillars with aluminum-colored trim pieces. D-pillar? Absolutely! The Hyundai Venue now has an additional side window, creating an extra pillar.

Hyundai Venue interior: without too much fuss, yet playful.

The Venue gets – depending on the version – a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an infotainment screen with the same diagonal. The interior looks relatively simple. Particularly the design of the air vents and the way a differently colored dashboard panel flows from them should provide some playfulness.

In India, the Venue is offered with a naturally aspirated 1.2 gasoline engine, a 1.0 T-GDI turbo engine, and a 1.5 CRDi diesel engine.
