Jaguar has been busy testing with a huge electric GT for some time now. That will be the first car of the ‘reborn’ Jaguar, which introduced itself to the world through a colorful campaign that did not go unnoticed at the end of last year. Jaguar is going to do everything differently, and with a study model called Type 00, the British gave a glimpse of what was to come. The electric GT we are talking about was supposed to be presented before the end of this year.
That is not going to happen, as Jaguar confirms to ABC News. The still officially unnamed electric Jaguar will now be revealed sometime next year. Jaguar does not give a reason for the delay. However, Jaguar says that the first units will be delivered shortly after the unveiling.
Jaguar currently does not produce or sell any new cars. Delaying the arrival of the new EV means that Jaguar will remain a car brand without cars for a little longer.
