Do you drive an electric car but miss the smell of gasoline filling your nose while refueling? Then Kia has the solution. The Korean brand is bringing a gasoline scent to the EV4.
Car manufacturers regularly add features of cars with combustion engines to models with electric powertrains. For example, smart software creates real shifting moments in the electric Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, and there are several EVs that play the sound of a gasoline-powered car through the speakers during acceleration. It seems we have a hard time letting go of the fuel car. Kia is taking it a step further in a playful way. It provides a gasoline scent in its electric models.

Who wouldn’t want that: a gasoline scent in their car.
The Finnish division of Kia is introducing an air freshener that gives your interior a mild gasoline scent. That is, of course, remarkable. The last place you’d want to smell gasoline in a gasoline car is inside the car. Nevertheless, according to Kia, the air freshener in the shape of a jerry can is specifically for those who miss the smell of gasoline while charging their car. “We help you with your withdrawal symptoms,” said Kia Finland in a cheerful message on its social channels. The air freshener—if we can even call it that—is only available in limited quantities for those who buy a new Kia EV4.
