Kia PV5 Cargo Record

The Kia PV5 Cargo is an electric delivery van that is interesting for multiple reasons. Now there’s another one. The PV5 Cargo has managed to secure a Guinness World Record.

The Kia PV5 Cargo is the first delivery from Kia in the Netherlands since the Pregio. It is also fully electric and relatively modular. In the form of the PV5 Passenger, there’s even an almost MPV-like passenger car version. The PV5 Cargo is now also a true record.

Kia’s PV5 Cargo secures a Guinness World Record by driving a distance of 693.38 kilometers on a single battery charge with full load. This is the longest distance an electric delivery from has driven with maximum load and without recharging the battery in between. You can’t imagine anything too crazy that you can’t set a record for. The particular PV5 was a PV5 Cargo L2H1 with a 71.2 kWh battery. It can carry up to 790 kilograms of stuff from A to B. The PV5 is also available with a smaller 51.5 kWh battery.

The over 690 kilometers were driven on a 58.2 kilometer long route where mainly city kilometers were covered and which ended where it began, so the trip could be completed almost twelve times.
