Leapmotor B03X: cheap electric SUV…

Electrically Powered Plug-in Hybrid

Leapmotor B10

The Leapmotor B10 is no longer always an electric car. This is the Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV. It is always electrically powered, but also has a petrol engine on board.

Until now, the Leapmotor B10 always had an electric powertrain. It consists of a 218 hp electric motor and a 56.2-kWh or 67.1-kWh battery pack. Following its larger sibling, the Leapmotor C10, the B10 now also gets an electrically powered variant with a petrol engine. Its full name is Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV.

Leapmotor is not yet generous with specifications. For convenience, we assume that, like the comparable variant of the C10, it has a 215 hp electric motor that provides the propulsion. The internal combustion engine is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder. It never drives the wheels and serves purely to recharge the battery. At 18.8 kWh, this battery is also considerably smaller than those in the purely electric B10s. The Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV should be able to drive 80 kilometers electrically before the petrol engine has to start working. The total range is 900 kilometers according to the brand.

Extensive technical specifications and prices for the Dutch market are not yet available.
