The pace at which Leapmotor is expanding its model range is almost unparalleled. Meet another new Leapmotor: the D99. The Leapmotor D99 is not a sedan, hatchback, crossover, or SUV, but an MPV!
Leapmotor already sells the T03, B10, and C10 in the Netherlands, and the B03X and B05 will be added in the foreseeable future. In its home country China, Leapmotor’s delivery range is even more extensive. For example, it has electrically powered sedans in the form of the B01 and C01, and it sells SUVs there, such as the C11, C16, and D19, which we are completely unfamiliar with. We can now add another unfamiliar Leapmotor to that list: the D99.
The Leapmotor D99 is a spacious MPV, over 5.2 meters long, and is always electrically powered. There is a so-called EREV version with an 80.3 kWh battery and an internal combustion engine. This gasoline engine never drives the wheels and serves purely for recharging the battery. Before it kicks in, the 80.3 kWh battery should allow you to drive about 500 kilometers (CLTC). According to its creators, the fully electric variant has a 1,000 V onboard voltage and a 115 kWh battery. This gives the giant passenger of a range of 720 kilometers.
Extensive specifications are not yet available, nor are images of the D99’s interior.
