Nowadays there is a lot to be restorated in car land. The newest upgraded classic is a mini as made between 1984 and 1990. This time, none other than top designer Ian Callum has been involved.

The Wood and Pickett Mini by Callum – as the modernized Mini is called – is based on a mini of the fifth generation, the Mk.v that was built between 1984 and 1990. The cleaned up minis have a new front bumper, side skirts, LED lighting on both front and back and are given a striking set of alloy slippers. At the bottom of the rear, two exhaust end pieces proudly point slightly up. In the minis you will find a completely new dashboard, complete with extra clocks and even a real infotainment system. We see leather on the dashboard, on the steering wheel, on the door panels and on the cheerful black and white checkered seats.

Under the hood is a 1,310 cc small four -cylinder petrol engine that, according to Callum, comes from rally sport. The block delivers 112 hp and sends those horses a new gearbox to the front wheels. The chassis is revised, the little ones get disc brakes random and are better insulated than the original.
