Nissan Z

Of all Nissan’s forbidden fruits, the Nissan Z might be the sweetest. The retro-designed sports coupe has been renewed.

In August 2021, Nissan finally gave the already elderly 370Z a successor. That sporty model, simply called the Nissan Z, is now about four years old, which means it’s time to tackle the coming years in a subtly renewed form.

The Nissan Z primarily distinguishes itself from the original with its new front bumper and the opening placed within it. The vertical cooling vents that were previously on either side of the front bumper have disappeared. The angular grille, which not all Z enthusiasts were fond of, has made way for a wider opening that is horizontally bisected by a body-colored plastic piece. The upper part is equipped with horizontal slats. Also new: the logo centrally located in the Z’s snout. It is no longer a Nissan logo, but a Z logo.

The changes Nissan is implementing in the interior are minor. There’s a revised infotainment system and new upholstery. Technically, the Z is also getting a refresh. Nissan has addressed the chassis, and the sports coupĂ© is now equipped with more powerful brakes. The power of the 3.0 V6 with two turbos seems unchanged. The engine likely still delivers 406 hp.
