Renewed Nissan Ariya: new face for electric SUV

Sharply Updated

Nissan Ariya

After five years, the Nissan Ariya is being renewed. The electric crossover gets a quite new face through a relatively small intervention.

Time flies. It has now been over five years since the Nissan Ariya was shown to the world public. This means the time is ripe for a facelift. The electric Nissan is indeed getting one. The brand reveals what it will bring to the Japan Mobility Show later this month and one of the most important show debuts is the updated Nissan Ariya. The brand is already showing a couple of images of the facelifted Ariya.

Nissan Ariya

The Nissan Ariya as you’ve known it for about five years.

Nissan is removing the large black panel from the front of the Ariya, resulting in a much larger portion of the Ariya’s nose being finished in body color from now on. The shape of the lighting remains largely preserved, but the concrete execution is also new. For example, the upper units get a new segmented light signature and the extensions below run less far toward the center. Additionally, there are now three diagonal lines instead of single hook-shaped examples. The vertical black parts on either side of the bumper have also been removed. During the update, Nissan is also addressing the lower part of the bumper.

We don’t yet know what the rear of the updated Ariya looks like. Nissan does reveal that the SUV’s interior is also being updated. For example, the SUV will get Google infotainment among other things, and the Japanese also mention the arrival of V2L technology.

Since the introduction of the Nissan Ariya, nearly 2,100 units have been registered in the Netherlands.
