Skoda Epiq: Small electric cross-over € 25,000 caught

Ready for this year

Spyshots Skoda Epiq

Is the Skoda Elroq still too big for you? Then wait a little longer. This year, Skoda is adding a smaller electric crossover to its line-up. It’s called the Skoda Epiq, and it can be seen for the first time in these photos.

For a long time, the Enyaq was Skoda’s only electric car. Recently, Skoda cut into that SUV, and the shorter and significantly cheaper result is now on the price list as the Skoda Elroq. The Elroq was the first, but certainly not the last of a series of new electric models. There will be an electric SUV with seven seats above the Enyaq, an electric station wagon, and a compact electric crossover. That one will be called Skoda Epiq and should have a starting price of around €25,000.

Skoda Epiq Concept

The preview of the Skoda Epiq (2024).

More than a year ago, Skoda already previewed the Epiq with a fairly production-ready-looking harbinger. The definitive Skoda Epiq does not seem to deviate strongly from that. The Epiq has Skoda’s now familiar new face, supplemented by a bumper with a set of large vertical slots in it. Skoda’s smallest electric crossover is allowed to have some playfulness.

The Skoda Epiq will be about 4.10 meters long. This makes it almost 40 centimeters shorter than the Elroq. Even the Skoda Kamiq – currently the smallest (non-electric) crossover of the brand – is another 14 centimeters longer. Despite the compact exterior dimensions, Skoda promises that the Epiq will be quite spacious. The Czechs previously spoke of 490 liters. That’s very serious. In addition, expect an electric range of up to about 400 kilometers. The base you find under the car is called MEB Entry. This means that the car is basically a front-wheel drive.

The Skoda Epiq will soon roll off the assembly line in Pamplona, Spain. The Volkswagen ID Polo/ID2 and the Cupra Raval will also see the light of day there.
