In The Netherlands, More Cars Were Registered in September from Toyota than from Any Other Brand. The Tesla Model Y Recovered and Holds Not One But Two Top Spots. This and more is evident from the registration figures released by bovag, rai association, and rdc.
In September, 32,199 New Passenger Cars Were Registered in The Netherlands. A Significant Number, IT was 4.4 percent more than in the Same Month Last Year. If we add up the figures for the first three quarters of this year, we arrive at a total of 269.953 registered new passenger cars. That is 3 percent less than in the same period last year. Of Those Nearly 270,000 Cars, 87,696 Were Registered in The Third Quarter. This means that the third quarter performed better than the same quarter last year (+3.4 percent). To put that into perspective: in the first quarter of this year, 10.2 percent fewer cars were registered than in the first Quarter of 2024. In the first half of the year, the Dutch Car Market Still recorded a decrease of 5.6 percent. So there is recovery.
