But Pay Attention to the Option Packages
The New Citroën C5 Aircross is significant cheaper than its competitors and its predecessor, making it interesting for that reason alone. However, is it really smart to go for that relatively dirt-cheap base version? We’re going to find out.
Citroën C5 Aircross Hybrid 145HP Automatic you – € 37.990
The New Citroën C5 Aircross is available from Just Under 38,000 euros, which is Actually A Bargain in this segment. The Aircross Shares Its Platform with the Peugeot 3008 and the Opel Grandland, But They Cost Considerably More With Starting Prices of € 43,870 and € 40.999 Respectively. And the C5 Aircross is also More Spacious, at Least in Terms of LugGage Space … Feel Free to Check out this Carbase Comparison, But Ignore the Constantly Changing Prices.
In All Cases, You Get The (Mild) Hybrid Powertrain Without A Plug At The Stellantis Brands, which is now listed axy 145 HP. We don’t have prices for the announced plug-in hybrid yet, but the full-meter electric c5 is also a lot cheaper than its sister models. At Peugeot and Opel You Pay Thousands of Euros Extra For This, AT Citroën The Surcharge is only € 1,500 and you can plug in an electric ë-c5 for € 39.490. With the you Equipment show here, so keep that and that ev in mind.
Compared to Competitors Outside Stellantis, The C5 is Possible Even Better. For Example, A Volkswagen Tiguan Costs at Least € 48.990 and a Ford Kuga is equally More Expores A Temporary Discount or € 4,000 (€ 39,990), Althegh you immediately Get A Plug-in Hybrid. If we end the Comparison Party with a look at the predecessor, we notice that the new c5 equally does that well there. The ‘Old’ C5 Aircross was still listed for a minimum of € 40,470 in January, although it must be said that it was immediately a plus and that version now costs € 40,990.
From you to max
In Total, The New C5 Aircross is available in Four Different Versions: You, Plus, Business and Max. Where the business occupies a special position with the c4 and something is just cheaper than the base version, the prices for the c5 neatly increase with each new step. The you version does not have roof rails, but that also applies to every other version. What is unique to the entry-level model is that there is no dark privacy glass. The Hybrid You is also the only C5 Aircross that stands on 18-inch Wheels. All Other Versions and the EV HAVE AT LEAST 19 inches. The Basic Color is also Great: Ruby Red is free, for one of the other five shades you pay € 850. Still, there is a small disappointment here, because the dark and subdued astoria green is nothing like the daring bright green that citroën showed at the introduction.
Austoria Green (above) is not nearly as green as the green that citroën showed at the launch.
The Finish of the Front and Rear Bumpers is just a bit nicer from the plus, with high-gloss black and satin chrome accents that are missing on the you. You can also see on the front bumper Whether It is an electric or hybrid c5, because the latter has an extra cooling slot above the license plate. Invisible, but relevant is the fact that the exterior mirrors on the you are not electrically foldable.
The Hybrid (above) has an extra cooling slot in the front bumper.
A C5 Aircross You is Perhaps Even Easier to Recognize by Taking a Look Inside. Seats, through panels and dashboard are made in the light urban gray, which creates a significant Sharper contrast than the metropolitan blue of the plus and business versions. The Max Has a Different Color Blue Again and Is Optionally Avareable with a Light Gray Leatherette Interior, which on the pictures looks very similar to the ‘basic interior’ of the you. The Seats are also just a little different with the entry-level model. For Example, The Driver’s Seat Has Six Instead of Eight Adjustment Directions and the Rear Seat BackGrest is not Adjustable with the You, But Fortunately It Can Be Folded Down in Three Separate Parts. It is Even Citroën’s Famous Advanced Comfort Seats with Extra Thick Foam Padding, So Nice and Soft.
Looking around here, We Notice That Adaptive Cruise Control, A Rain Sensor, Climate Control With Two Zones and A Center Armrest with a Cooled Storage Compartment Are Simply Present in the Basic Version. In The Luggage Compartment We Find An Adjustable Floor and the Digital Part is Proviveded by the Combination of A Vertical 13-Inch Screen (New And Unique Within Stellantis) and A 10-inch instrument Panel, All Very Nice.
We do Miss ‘Keyless Entry’, A Wireless Phone Charger, Seat Heating and An Automatically Dimming Interior Mirror, While the Spoiled SUV Driver Might also Want More Driving Assistance and A ‘Hands-Free’ Electric Tailgate. Anyone Who Wants these Things Must Go To A More Expendive Version. Separate options are not available for the you version, while many of the things mentioned are even part of an option package with more exensive versions.
That brings us to a small sore point, because the different equipment levels are distinguished more by decoration than by equipment. Separate options and packages are quickly needed anyway and that contractes the price, but in principle the price and equipment are in good order with this c5.
