No Nice Paint

The Mazda MX-5 is by definition an enthusiast’s car. Undoubtedly, someone will be found for this one too, but they might need to visit a paint shop first.
The Mazda MX-5 is perhaps the most widely loved convertible in the world. It’s quite impressive how the Japanese managed to achieve that, while the MX-5 in turn was inspired by British roadsters of yesteryear. Especially the NA, the first generation, still attracts crowds of people to the used car dealer. This one is also red, a popular color for the MX-5. At the same time, the paint is precisely the weakest point of this car from 1992.
From the front, the MX-5 still looks pretty good (although there seems to be some color difference between the nose and front bumper), but at the rear, dull red patches jump out at us. The clear coat has come loose there, and the MX-5 has lost some of its shine as a result. The seller readily admits that this MX-5 therefore needs to be repainted. That will of course cost you a few thousand more, with a bit of bad luck.

With an asking price of €4,999, this is certainly not the most expensive MX-5 NA, and this one also has a nearly virgin mileage of 114,750. According to the seller, the car is also still solid, although a critical look in the rear wheel arches certainly wouldn’t hurt. If it is indeed still neat underneath, you can make a very nice roadster out of this with a little love. You’ll probably have to wait for the summer of 2026 before you can take it for sultry rides.
