With this Vola M24 you can drive something very special in the Netherlands – Enthusiast

Vola M24

Last year, a Volga M24 shone in ‘In the wild’, which managed to get people excited. Now one is for sale. Who will strike?

Almost a year ago, thanks to AutoWeek forum member Johan82, we were able to put a special Volga M24 in the spotlight in ‘In the wild’. Given the origin of the car, we ran the risk that the reactions would mainly be a geopolitical discussion, but nothing could be further from the truth. It remained mainly fun about cars and several people could appreciate the M24. For them there is possibly good news now, because there is one for sale in the Netherlands!

We have a slightly older M24 here than last year, although it largely looks the same. The modern wheel covers slightly disfigure the classic picture of this Volga dating from 1981. Inside, it is a completely different decade that strikes the clock. Just like on the outside, the M24 does not clearly show which year it actually comes from. This could just as well have been a car from the 1960s. However, keep in mind that in 1981 you were of good descent (or were employed by the government) if you could drive this car in the Soviet Union.

This copy, judging by the license plate, comes from Ukraine. Possibly the car fled with its owner from the war violence. In that regard, there may be an uncomfortable load on the car. In any case, it is quite neat, in that respect there is no immediate reason to assume that he has experienced very intense things. Now the main question is; who thinks his name is on it here? In any case, there is currently a price tag of €5,000 on it. The car is in Balkbrug, near Hardenberg.
