From Supercar to Hypercar
The Mercedes-AMG GT is already available in many different flavors and with various power. He was not as intense as this Brabus creation. This is the Brabus 1000.
If you are talking about ‘the’ Mercedes-AMG GT 63, you can actually mean various cars. You have the ‘basic version’, with the 4.0 Biturbo V8 of 585 hp, above that is the no less than 612 hp 63 Pro and again a good step above that we find the 816 hp plug-in hybrid Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance. Then nothing comes for a long time before we end up with the insane creation that is now on your screen: the Brabus 1000.
As the name suggests, we have to deal with a no less than 1,000 hp strong sample here. Basically the 63 SE Performance, but in this case it is not 4.0 V8 but a 4.5 V8 that works together with the electric motor. With that outdoor power, the Brabus 1000 spends in just 2.6 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, two tenths faster than the 63 SE Performance. From 0 to 300 km/h goes in 23.6 seconds. The top speed has remained the same on an electronically limited 320 km/h.
Of course there are several aerodynamic extras from carbon fiber to keep the car near the asphalt despite the higher power. There are also new 21 and 22-inch wheels and the Brabus 1000 stands up in height-adjustable sports feathers. The interior of the Brabus 1000 is a striking combination of black with red accents and an excess of carbon fiber prints. The car naturally has a solid price tag: € 445,900. Mind you, that is still excluding taxes. For comparison: the regular Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance costs at least € 274,884 here in the Netherlands.
