2029 is No Longer Feasible

The Construction of the Tunnel Between the German Island of Fehmarn and the Danish Island of Lolland is Delayed Again, Reports The Project Developer. The Project, Costing Billions of Euros, was supposed to be complete in 2029, but the developer no longer expects to achieve that.
The 18-kilometer-long tunnel is set to Become the Longest Road and Rail Tunnel in the World, But The Works Are Now a Year and A Half Beind Schedule. Completing a Special Ship Designed to Lower Tunnel Parts Into The Sea Is So Far Behind That, Accordance to the Project Developer, It Will Be Difficult to Open the Tunnel in 2029. The Ship Still Needs to Be Extensively Tested and Receive Approvals.
The Travel Time Between the Hamburg and Copenhagen Regions is expected to be significant lively shorter when the connection is open. The Tunnel was Originally Scheduled to Be Complete in 2024, but a few years ago the opening was postponed to 2029.
