Versus BMW iX3

The prices of the brand new electric Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ Technology have been announced. In the configurator on the Dutch Mercedes-Benz website, the electric SUV appears with a starting price of just over €72,000.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ Technology costs at least €72,631 in the Netherlands. For that price, you get the electric Mercedes-Benz GLC as a four-wheel drive 400 4Matic in Business Solution trim. The SUV is also available as Business Solution Luxury (€73,841), Business Solution AMG (€76,987), and as a special Launch Edition. The only free ‘color’ for now is Kosmos Black.
Regardless of the chosen trim, you always get two electric motors with a combined output of 489 hp and a 94-kWh battery. The electric GLC—which shares no technical components with the combustion engine GLC—accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, reaches a top speed of 210 km/h, and has a range of up to 673 kilometers. It can fast charge at 330 kW.
And the BMW iX3?
The starting price of just over €72,000 is slightly higher than that of the equally brand new BMW iX3. The BMW iX3 starts at €70,501 as the 50 xDrive. The BMW iX3 50 xDrive has two electric motors with a combined output of 469 hp, making it slightly less powerful than the electric GLC. This results in a slightly slower 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.9 seconds. However, the larger 108.7-kWh battery gives the BMW a greater range. The SUV can travel up to 805 kilometers without recharging—a significant difference. Additionally, the BMW iX3 can DC fast-charge at a higher rate, with a fast-charging capacity of 400 kW. Furthermore, the BMW iX3 is lighter, weighing 2,360 kg compared to the Mercedes-Benz’s 2,535 kg. On the other hand, the Mercedes-Benz can tow more (2,400 kg versus 2,000 kg for the BMW) and has a larger luggage space (570 liters versus 520 liters for the BMW).
