Leapmotor C10 AWD: 600 hp for a low price

More grip and much faster charging

Leapmotor C10 AWD

Leapmotor likes to offer a lot for relatively little. Soon, it will also offer a lot of horsepower for an expected friendly price. This is the Leapmotor C10 AWD. It has all-wheel drive and almost 600 hp!

Like the B10, the Leapmotor C10 is also favorably priced. It is a 4.75-meter-long electric SUV that is ten centimeters longer than a Skoda Enyaq, while its starting price of €39,050 is several thousand euros below that of the Czech model. The Leapmotor C10 is available as an EV with a 217 hp electric motor on the rear axle and also as an identically priced C10 REEV with a range extender in the showrooms. Soon, a variant will be added: the Leapmotor C10 AWD. This is an all-wheel-drive version of the C10 equipped with two electric motors. It is more powerful than we thought.

In August, Leapmotor already announced the arrival of the C10 AWD. At that time, it revealed that the new variant would have two electric motors with a combined output of 585 hp. What turns out? Leapmotor now mentions two units with a combined output of 598 hp and 720 Nm. About 600 hp in a down-to-earth family SUV… This makes the C10 AWD almost three times as powerful as the rear-wheel-drive version. With that power, the C10 AWD accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds. For comparison: the 217 hp rear-wheel-drive variant needs almost twice as long for that sprint (7.5 s).

The floor of the Leapmotor C10 AWD contains an 81.9 kWh LFP battery, while the less potent ‘normal’ C10 has a 69.9 kWh battery. The C10 AWD achieves a range of 437 kilometers, which is slightly further than its significantly less powerful sibling (420 kilometers). More interesting: the 81.9 kWh battery can be charged at 180 kW; in the rear-wheel-drive version, you have to make do with 84 kWh. It also has 800v instead of 400v on-board voltage.

We do not yet know what the price of the Leapmotor C10 AWD will be in the Netherlands. Undoubtedly, it will be relatively favorable for a beast of an electric SUV with 600 hp. We will keep you informed.
