The next sales hit in the Netherlands?

The Skoda Elroq was the most registered and therefore most popular new car in the Netherlands in 2025. The Skoda Epiq, which you see in these spy photos, could well be the next one.
The Skoda Elroq is in high demand. The electric Skoda had the difficult task of overtaking the Kia EV3 and succeeded admirably. In 2025, no less than 11,960 units left showrooms, about 1,000 more than the EV3. The Elroq starts from just under €35,000 and apparently falls within the lease budget of many Dutch people. This year, Skoda is bringing a new electric model to the market that will be even cheaper and thus perhaps even more popular: the Skoda Epiq.
Its arrival has long ceased to be a surprise. The Czechs have already shown the Epiq twice as a concept model. The version Skoda presented to us in September already looked virtually production-ready. Testing with the Epiq is and remains in full swing, as evidenced by a brand new set of spy photos of the small electric crossover. The Skoda Epiq should have a starting price of around €25,000, which in the most favorable case means that the cheapest variant is a full €10,000 cheaper than that of the Elroq.
What you get for those 25 grand we don’t know exactly yet, although we can give you a fairly accurate estimate. The Skoda Epiq will be roughly 4.1 meters long and therefore about 15 centimeters shorter than the Elroq. The luggage compartment measures around 475 liters, although for that you have to put the sliding rear seat in the foremost position. The Epiq owes its relatively large interior space to the fact that it is primarily a front-wheel-drive vehicle.
This year, the first units will roll off the production line in Pamplona, Spain, side by side with another important new EV from the Volkswagen Group: the Volkswagen ID Polo.
