Towards January 21

Volvo EX60

The Volvo XC60 is getting an electric alternative. It’s called Volvo EX60, it’s coming very soon and it has a significant range. According to Volvo, the EX60 can travel over 800 kilometers on a full battery.

Despite its relatively old age, the Volvo XC60 is still extremely popular. This makes Volvo optimistic about the brand-new and fully electric alternative to that SUV: the EX60. It will be unveiled on January 21, and we will, of course, tell you everything about it then. Even now, the electric SUV is stepping onto the AutoWeek news stage. We know what the maximum range of the Volvo EX60 is.

Volvo promises that the EX60 will travel up to 810 kilometers on a full battery. This even applies to a variant with all-wheel drive. With a range of over 800 kilometers, the EX60 is the electric Volvo with the longest range. According to Volvo, a 400 kW fast charger can add enough power for 340 kilometers in 10 minutes. The Volvo EX60 is the first Volvo on the brand-new SPA3 platform with 800v onboard voltage.

Also interesting: the EX60 is also the first Volvo to be produced using megacasting . This means that a large part of the car’s base consists of one large cast piece. According to Volvo, this production technique saves about 200 kg of vehicle weight.
