Stärke Motor Company is – although the name suggests otherwise – an American car manufacturer that loves to convert Porsche 718 Boxsters. It presents the most recent version of its Speedster: the Gen 2 Speedster. This is a Porsche 718 Boxster where most of the sheet metal has ended up in the shredder and classic-looking shapes return.
As its name suggests, the Stärke Gen 2 Speedster is intended to strongly resemble the classic Porsche 356 Speedster. From afar, you can still see 718 remnants on the windshield and A-pillars. Those who come closer will notice from the unchanged interior that you are dealing with a modified 718. The Gen 2 Speedster is available with a 300 hp 2.0 four-cylinder, a 350 hp supercharged 2.5 liter boxer engine, and an almost 400 hp naturally aspirated six-cylinder. That is also a boxer engine. Shifting is done via a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed automatic transmission.
In the United States, the Stärke Gen 2 Speedster has a starting price of €114,000. Please note: you must supply a 718 Boxster yourself. Those who want to buy a ready-made example must leave the equivalent of €160,000 with Stärke.
