Skoda Superb by students transformed into pick-up

Skoda Superb L&K 130 Student Car

The Skoda Superb is known as a sedan and as a Combi, but not yet as a pickup. That is changing today, thanks to a group of students. A creative outburst, that’s for sure.

Skoda doesn’t shy away from the creative spirit of students, and that leads for the tenth time to a rather remarkable-looking car. Here we see the tenth ‘Skoda Student Car’, a design by a group of students from the Skoda Academy. The creation, based on a Skoda Superb Combi, is called L&K 130. The name refers to Skoda founders Laurin and Klement, who started as bicycle manufacturers 130 years ago.

Of course, Skoda and bicycles are still closely connected, because Skoda has been the official supplier of race cars for events such as the Tour de France for years. The Superb, converted into a pickup, is therefore fully prepared for transporting as many bicycles as possible. Because of the extendable loading space in the back, two bicycles can be taken along at the rear, and there is also space on the roof. It looks remarkable, but it is certainly practical.

To further decorate the whole, the Superb is equipped with a special color scheme. The colors are not chosen randomly, but come from the logo that Laurin and Klement used to print on their products. These colors are also reflected in the interior, and the historical L&K logo is used in various places on the car instead of the Skoda logo. There are no production plans for this student creation either, but it is certainly one of the more successful projects.
