With a new base color
The Big Joke of the Cheaper Versions of the Peugeot 308 was Always that they have physical buttons for the climate control. The Question Today is Whether that Willin the Case with the facelift Version, which, in good Stellantis Fashion, Gets A New Color.
Peugeot 308 SW Hybrid 145 E -DCS6 Style – € 37,250
With the Current 308, Peugeot introduced a new operating concept in 2021. It consists of a touchscreen and a second screen placed underneath, on which you can program shortcuts with poseable limitations. Peugeot calls this ‘i-togles’ and it looks slick, but unfortunately works less pleasantly in practice than hoped. The Solution, However, is Simple. Anyone who orders a cheaper version of the 308 simply gets a physical button with rotary knobs for the climate control in place of the toggles. Initially, this was only for the absolute base version, but more recently we also found this button cluster in the More Exputive allure Version. A Saving for Peugeot, But Secretly A Win For The User.

Physical Buttons for the Climate Control
Don’t worry: Nothing has changed to the above with the facelift of the 308. Base version style and ‘mid-version’ Allure Still Have a Series of Real Buttons Underneath, Although You Can Opt For The More Extensively Digiively System With.

No Fangs
On the outside, the entry-level version was always clearly recognizable by the ‘interrupted’ fangs under the headlights, but the led daytime running lights have disappeared from that spot. It used to be the case that the gt version had different, flatter headlights, but that differentence is also gone. Add to that the fact that every version now has the ‘slanted’ Taillights That Were PreviOutly only on the GT, and you can hardly see the differentence between a style and an allure. The Allure Has Larger Wheels, Privacy Glass and A High-Gloss Black Rear Bumper, But That’s It. Then there is also the 308 business, which has the same wheels as the style but is just a bit more luxurious. Those Wheels are 16-inch in size and complete black, unless you go for a plug-in hybrid or electric 308. Then you get much sparkling-looking 17- Or just 18-inch Wheels Without Paying Extra.

The Electric E-308 Comes Standard on 18-inch. Good for consumption …
The Cheapest Powertrain for the 308, However, is still the mild-hybrid variant with a plug, which is now called hybrid 145 and has 145 hp. The Very Cheapest 308 is of Course the Hatchback (‘Berline’ in Peugeot’s), But Today we Choose the Basic Version of the More Popular SW. Apart from the color (see Below), That Doesn’t Matter: In Bothes the Basic Version is a Hybrid 145 in Style Trim. An Automatic Transmission is Now Standard.
Unique Color
The Exterior Color is Always a Fun Theme with Basic Versions of Cars from the Stellantis Stable. This Concern Takes the Trouble to Come Up With A Striking Basic Color for Each Model And often Even for Each Body Variant. In the case of the 308 SW, that is ‘Blue Ingaro’. That is different from the facelift and different from the hatchback version of the 308, which is Delivered in a somewhat more striking ‘Blue Lagoa’. Both Colors Are Not Even Even Av by the Other Body Variant And Peugeot Only Offers Gray, White And Black Outside The Basic Color On The Cheaper Versions. The Interior is (of course) always black and equipped with fabric upholstery, but with a cheerful orange stitch.

The Hatchback has Another Basic Color, also New.
We are now well about 500 words into this almost endless story. If you are still reading this, you really want to know about the Equipment of the basic 308. Here we go.
