The used car market has been booming for years, but it can’t be a party every month. For example, car dealers sold slightly fewer used cars last month than last year. However, there is no overall sales decline yet.

In November, car companies traded no fewer than 110,981 used cars. That’s quite a few, but 3.8 percent less than in the same month last year. But don’t think they’re mourning; over the whole year there is still growth. The total counter is now at 1,274,462 cars, which is 2.2 percent more than in 2024. Among private individuals, there was also simply growth in the used car trade, because in November 61,835 used cars from private individuals went to other private individuals. A growth of 6.6 percent. All these figures come from Bovag and RDC.

The most popular used cars of November are not surprising. Once again, the Volkswagen Polo was the leader, with 3,438 registrations, followed by the Volkswagen Golf (2,906 units). Most of the used cars sold by companies only had a petrol engine on board (74,891 units), hybrid used cars were then the most popular with 24,922 units. Electric used cars accounted for 6,709 registrations. According to Bovag, 4.8 percent more electric used cars were sold last month than last November and year-on-year growth is now 11.6 percent. However, the export of EVs was considerably higher last month than last year. 3,412 crossed the border, while 1,059 came in at the same time.
