Toyota wants to extend the lifespan of its models to nine years. With the Corolla, it is already taking a step in that direction. The current generation Toyota Corolla is almost seven years old, but shows no signs of stopping. In the autumn of its career, the car still benefits from a handful of novelties.
First of all: this is not a facelift. So don’t expect new headlights or tightened bumpers. Anyone who orders a Toyota Corolla as GR Sport can now get a new matte paint called Onyx Gray on their car. Storm Grey, another gray paint, is also a new addition to the color palette.
Toyota is applying its fabric made from recovered materials, called Samara, more extensively in various versions of the Corolla Hatchback and Corolla Touring Sports. According to Toyota, you will find the durable material on the rear seat, among other places. The Japanese now use artificial leather for the finish of the steering wheel and the automatic gear lever.
The Toyota Corolla is currently available in the Netherlands as Hybrid 140 and as Hybrid 180. The Toyota Corolla Hatchback as Hybrid 140 costs a minimum of €32,995, the Corolla Touring Sports €34,995. Prefer the Hybrid 180? Reserve amounts of €40,995 and €42,995 respectively for the Hatchback and Touring Sports.
