Just above Lexus

Lexus isn’t premium enough for Toyota. This is the new luxury brand with which Toyota is targeting brands like Bentley: Century. The firstborn of Century is a substantial luxurious sports coupe.
You probably know Century as the ultimate luxury sedan from the Toyota brand, and the chance that you’ve seen the Toyota Century SUV on AutoWeek before is also high. Century is no longer just a model line of Toyota, but a separate brand. It is positioned even higher than Lexus and seems to be the brand with which Toyota is aiming at the Bentleys of this world. The Century Coupe is the firstborn of the new luxury brand.
The Century Coupe is a two-seater and thus doesn’t have a small rear seat like many coupes do. That’s far from the most remarkable thing about the interior. The driver is visually separated from the passenger by something that resembles a partition made of red laser beams. The passenger seat is positioned further back. This makes it seem like even the Century Coupe is meant to be driver-driven. The dashboard itself is also interesting. In it, we see a yoke-like steering wheel and a particularly flat digital instrument cluster. That display is flanked on both sides by two smaller, vertically oriented screens.
Unfortunately, it’s still too early for technical details. So we don’t even know what kind of powertrain the Century Coupe has.
