‘Dutch people are particularly annoyed by BMW drivers and Belgians’

Do you recognize this?

The Dutch are the least talking about how BMW drivers behave in traffic and see ‘we’ the Belgians as the worst of all foreign drivers.

Once in a while, the opinion of Dutch people is surveyed about fellow road users and that always results in some striking conclusions. Or at least food for discussion, because you may not recognize yourself in the results of a new study by Marktplaats among more than 1,000 Dutch people. It shows that one in three Dutch people thinks that a car brand says something about the character of the driver and a quarter says they are base an opinion on that driver.

BMW drivers find no less than 28 percent the most anti-social drivers. BMW is at the top with some distance, because Audi drivers follow on the second place, with 10 percent. 20 percent of people with an opinion also find that BMW drivers are the worst drivers, followed by FIAT drivers with 12 percent. Toyota and Volvo drivers stand out positively. 13 and 11 percent respectively find them the best drivers.

Belgians, French and Italians

The research commissioned by Marktplaats also focused on opinions about foreign drivers. In addition, our southern neighbors will get rid of it. 18 percent think that Belgians are the worst driving. So only store for a Belgian in a BMW. However, when it comes to anti -social driving, the French, however, get the crown (18 percent). When it comes to driving abroad, Italy is bad, because the Dutch think that the most chaotic is being driven there. By the way, do you have the idea that Germans always follow the rules neatly? Well, no less than 31 percent of the respondents in this study say that Germans are the least about the maximum speed. Most people find the Germans the friendliest in traffic and Austrians and Swiss also score well in that regard.
