The starting price of the electric Cupra Born is now thousands of euros lower than before. Shortly, at least.
The sporty nephew of the Cupra Born had a starting price of € 34,990 to date. For that amount, Cupra pressed the keys in the hands of a 231 hp Cupra Born with 59 kWh battery, designed as entry version Essential Limited. That price remains unchanged. Cupra parks a new entry -level. In a sense, that is the same Cupra Born Essential Limited, but with less power. It costs € 31,990 and is therefore no less than three mille cheaper than the previous entry.
The Cupra Born Essential Limited also has the 59 kWh battery, but this new taste of the Born combines that battery with a 204 hp instead of 231 hp electric motor. So you pay less, but you also get fewer horsepower. At 427 kilometers, the range is the same as that of the Essential Limited where it will be placed.
With regard to equipment it lacks you little to nothing. For example, the 204 hp Cupra Born as Essential Limited is also on 19-inch alloy wheels and are things like a 12.9 inch infotainment screen, bucket seats, an induction charger for your phone, parking beepers front and rear, seat heating, a heatable steering wheel and mood lighting as standard. In addition, Cupra squeezes an extra in the 204 hp Born Essential Limited: Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control that is normally only standard from the Business Limited version.
