Extra Large Range

The Leapmotor B10 is no longer always a fully electric car. There is now also a version with a petrol engine. AutoWeek has the prices of the new Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV.
Like its big brother C10, the smaller and relatively inexpensive Leapmotor B10 is no longer always an electric car. In addition to the fully electric versions, a B10 with an internal combustion engine is now available, although this Leapmotor B10 is also always electrically powered. Indeed: in the new variant, the internal combustion engine serves as a generator to charge the battery. The petrol engine therefore does not drive the wheels. The new variant of the B10 is fully named Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV. AutoWeek has the prices before Leapmotor itself announces them.
The Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV is available as Life from €29,995 and as the more richly equipped Design for €31,495. The starting price of the new plug-in hybrid is therefore €2,000 higher than that of the fully electric B10.
Unlike the fully electric Leapmotor B10, the B10 Hybrid EV does not have a 56.2 kWh or 67.1 kWh battery, but a significantly smaller one with a capacity of 18.8 kWh. The electric motor, like in the electric B10s, is 218 hp and 240 Nm strong. The petrol engine that recharges the battery produces 86 hp, while the fuel tank capacity is 50 liters. The fuel cap is located at the rear right.
Slower Charging and Less Space
There are more differences with the electric B10. For example, the Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV cannot charge with 11 kW AC, but only with 6.6 kW. Fast charging is also slower. Not with 140 or 168 kW, but with only 46 kW. The B10 Hybrid EV travels 82 kilometers before the 18.8 kWh battery is empty and the internal combustion engine kicks in. The total range is set at 900 kilometers. This makes the B10 Hybrid EV the variant with the largest range, although you don’t achieve that with electric power alone. The luggage space of the plug-in hybrid Leapmotor B10 Hybrid EV is also smaller with 330 liters than that of the electric versions (440 liters). On the scales, the B10 Hybrid EV is the winner: weighing 1,680 kilos, it is about 75 kilos lighter than the lightest electric B10.
