The Lotus Emira earlier this year got the Turbo SE, making it with four-cylinder suddenly as strong as with the V6. Now, however, there is also a milder four-cylinder again.
Lotus continues to tinker with the delivery range of the Emira. A few months ago, it suddenly pushed forward the Turbo SE, which with its four-cylinder is as strong as the Emira with V6, now however there is also a milder four-cylinder available again. With that, the Emira listens to the name Emira Turbo. The blown 2.0 delivers in the Turbo a power of 360 hp instead of the 400 hp of the Turbo SE. Enough to help the Emira from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, where the Turbo SE does that in 4 seconds. Shifting gears is just like in the Turbo SE with an eight-speed DCT, which just like the engine comes from Mercedes-AMG.
What the milder version exactly does with the Dutch prices is not yet clear. It is certain, however, that it will be a blow cheaper than the Turbo SE, which costs €155,895. Far above that is still the Lotus Emira with V6, which costs another thirty mille more and in terms of power and performance is almost at the same level as the Turbo SE. Incidentally, Lotus now calls the Emira with V6 V6 SE. It is more than a name change, because Lotus speaks of improved cooling for both the engine and the occupants. Also, the automatic has been recalibrated, you can get the V6 SE in contrast to the Turbo and Turbo SE also with manual transmission.
