Stargazing
A lot is happening in the segment of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The now four-year-old Mercedes-Benz C-Class is being armed with starlight and must therefore put up a fight against the really new models it will face.
Of course, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class cannot be called old by a long shot. The current model – already the fifth generation – was presented at the beginning of 2021 and is therefore a spacious four years old at the moment. The C is therefore not yet due for replacement, but it is for a facelift. That is important for the C-Class. The two largest German competitors of the mid-range car are now or will soon be a lot younger. A4 successor Audi A5 is still brand new and the BMW 3 Series will be completely revised in the short term. New spy photos show better than before what visual changes the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is undergoing.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class on this photo set is again fanatically hanging in the camouflage stickers, but this time it is very clear what the facelift brings for the lighting. Mercedes-Benz provides the C-Class with a star in the light units at both the front and rear. You may already know this from the E-Class and the brand new CLA. Furthermore, expect small adjustments to the grille and the arrival of new bumper work. A facelift is not complete without such innovation.
There will be no electric C-Class. At least, there will be an electric equivalent that may be called ‘C-Class with EQ technology’, but it will not share a screw, nut, bolt, plug or cord with the fuel C-Class. Whether the arrival of the renewed C-Class also means the return of petrol engines with more than four cylinders to the model remains to be seen.
